The Human Library works just like any other library – the readers come in and check out books for approximately 30 min. However, the books are human beings who are subject to stereotypes and prejudices in the society and who engage in a very honest and personal dialogue with the reader.
The Human Library methodology follows the Danish model of the Human Library Organization and since 2009 A.R.T. Fusion Association in organizing events in Romania.
Scheduled to take place on 28th & 29th September 2024 at the National Library of Romania in Bucharest, this event will feature four Human books titles below:

Welcome to the Living Library!
The place where books come to life and tell their own story.
The Living Library works like a regular library – readers come and borrow books for a limited lifetime, but the books are people caring for each other in a personal dialogue.
The Living Library aims to promote respect for human rights and human dignity, draw attention to diversity in all its forms and stimulate dialogue between people.
The books you will read are by people who have faced discrimination, stereotypes or prejudice and you can borrow them for 30 minutes and find out your story!
This edition of the Living Library is organized by A.R.T. Fusion Association at the “AccessABILITY EXPO” Conference, at the National Library, Bucharest.
Below are some book titles we may have available on September 28th and 29th, 2-5pm.
