Overview: This workshop encourages participants to step out of their comfort zones by engaging in exercises led by Irina Crocker and Silvia Stelea, two blind trainers. Participants will be guided to rely on their senses, trust others, and explore the concept of diversity and inclusion in a deeply personal way.
Objectives:
– Foster empathy and understanding through experiential learning.
– Encourage trust-building and team cohesion.
– Highlight the importance of diversity in the workplace.
Target Audience:

Event Structure:
– Exercise 1: Starting as Equals
Participants are blindfolded and engage in interactive activities, emphasizing the importance of diversity in hiring and team dynamics.
– Exercise 2: Heard, Seen, Respected
Participants reflect on personal experiences where they felt unheard, unseen, or disrespected, learning to trust and value each team member’s contributions.
– Q&A Session: Interactive session where attendees can ask questions and engage with the speaker.
– Networking: Opportunities to connect with other attendees.
Registration before the event is required and only registered participants will be guaranteed a place. Further information will be sent out closer to the date.
The “Seeing is not Always Believing” and “Beyond Sight: Constructive Visions” workshops are designed to challenge participants’ perceptions and encourage greater empathy, trust, and inclusivity in the workplace. These workshops will take place on 27 and 28 September at the National Library of Romania in Bucharest, bringing together professionals from various fields to engage in experiential learning and thought-provoking discussions.
The Immersive Workshops are accessible for free. Pre-registration is required to attend, with a deadline set 24 hours prior to the event.
