AccessABILITEXPO: ALT Portraits

ALT Portraits Exhibition

The ALT Portraits / Alternative Portraits exhibition offers a unique space where art intersects with accessibility, aiming to reshape perspectives on diversity and inclusion. The exhibition will be held over three days, from September 27 to September 29, 2024, at the National Library of Romania in Bucharest. This event will bring to light the powerful stories and emotions of 15 colleagues from Kaufland Romania through visually compelling portraits accompanied by alternative text descriptions.

The term “ALT” originates from “alt text” in web technology, which enables individuals with visual impairments to access visual content via screen readers. This concept has been extended in this exhibition to provide a new narrative on how we perceive people with disabilities, focusing on their emotions, personalities, and stories rather than their physical conditions.

Admission to the Inspirational Talks is FREE. Attendees must pre-register to secure their participation, with registrations closing 24 hours before the event commences.

When: 27-29 September 2024
